hi- just got one of these and the bike rack is a 2 bike carrier I think, so when we attach the cargo bag it seems too wide for the rack yet there doesn't seem to be any room to make the base of the bike carrier any bigger....?? Worried it'll put too much pressure on the straps and not be safe??? Anyone else had this??

Hi Mary, we have a similar set up, Fiamma 2 bike rack and a Cargo Back bag. Have been using our bag for 5 years without any problems. One thing I have done is to cut a piece of Marine Ply to the same size as the bags base and to use it inside the bag as a base plate, this gives support to the bag on the outside of the bike rack framework.

Make sure he uses Marine Ply Mary, the Cargo Back Bag is not totally waterproof. It lets water in, it doesn't let it out, ordinary ply will rot in no time.
