Has anyone had to replace the material on their Fiamma Zip awning?
The awning was already on the vehicle when we bought it (so it is presumably vintage 2007), and the material is in quite poor condition. Looking at the cost of a replacement 'piece of cloth with zips' (around £360), plus the fitting cost (£180-250), we are wondering if it wouldn't be more cost effective to just buy a new awning, assuming that fitting such would be much cheaper, as the brackets are already there, and it's then just a matter of a few bolts to replace, and we get all new mechanics as well.
Any thoughts?
As a post script, has anyone any thoughts about the advisability (or not) of having the awning leg sockets fitted to the side of the motorhome, for 'one night stands'?
Any information/ experiences shared would be gratefully received.
