The shortest crossings from Greece to Italy are Igoumenitsa [in Greece] to either Brindisi or Bari in Italy.
Last year we had return crossings from Bari to Igoumenitsa [May and Sept] using Superfast Ferries and "camping on board"...there were others with campervans doing the same thing with dogs in the van so unless the rules have changed that could be an option.

We have booked with Anek superfast, Patras, Greece, to Bari, Italy, as camping on board, this is available from 1st April and dogs go free, if this is of any use for others :). One way 299 Euro.

Thanks Lin and Nige

We have done this many times with our 2 dogs (sadly we don't have either now) and it really is the best way to travel and route to take. We would always embark/disembark at Igoumenitsa because the dogs would refuse to do anything on the boat so the shortest journey for them was the best. Did you like Stoupa - one of our favourite places. Safe journey.

Thank you, not sure if our three will go on the boat either!
Yes Stoupa is lovely, really enjoyed being here.
