Kestrel, Richmond Park this afternoon. She approached us carrying a newly killed shrew which she then cached under a thick fallen branch, I didn't know they did that.

I wasn't in the right position to get a shot of that but she then perched herslf on various logs and posed for us, she came very close at one point, almost to my mfd!

Thanks, I used an Olympus E-M1 with an Olympus 300mm F4 pro lens with a 1.4x teleconverter. The settings were F5.6 ISO 640 1/1250 sec. Settings were high like this because I'd just been trying get some shots of a kestrel in flight without much success I should add!

For something closer and still I would normally decrease the ISO and close down a stop or two.

I will look out for her next time in Richmond Park.....
