I under stand Belgium and the Netherlands are not in the compatible countries on the Three network.
Does this mean that in Belgium I can't use the mobile data I paid for?
All I can get is data roaming which has already cost me £10 in two days

You can not use your three data in Netherlands or Belgium and a few others as well.

When I can't use the three data on my iPad I use the toggle SIM card in my phone, £0.15 per Mb compress data with Opera mini browser and it doesn't cost that much.

You can still use your Three card, but you will pay out of area roaming charges, which could be around £40 a Gb. It shouldn't be more in theory - but I don't trust them!
