the alarm on my van isn't working properly it lights up when you turn it on but then it goes off after a while and sometimes if I press the wrong button it dsables the ignition and wont start steve

If you can identify the make/model you may be able to obtain advice from the manufacturer's web site. Otherwise it probably needs an auto electrician to have a look.
