It is blowing but not as good as good as I would likeIf it's blown air, the question must be "does it blow or suck".
Martin
If it blowing it must be going the right way Bill so just check the ducts for leaks or crushing. It is blowing but not as good as good as I would like

Got home taken the fan duct off plenty of airPut a piece of tissue by the fan Bill to see if it's sucking or blowing, you say when you reversed the polarity everything tripled?, do you mean the fan speed, if so you may have a faulty rheostat and by reversing the polarity you have bypassed it, worth a thought.

It working OK now no just the water heater to fix needing sume one to recon my circuit bord.Had a birds nest in mine Bill......almost inside the heat exchanger.
Full heater removal and stripdown to get the bugger out.
Problem is Americans use a very open air inlet vent and small birds, possibly a wren or bluetit, can get in with ease.
