family campsite in france? suggestions please (1 Viewer)

Hi All

we have just bought a 36ft 'bounder' and want to take it to south of france with family for summer hols.

as its a big piece of kit and we have not done this before we welcome any suggestions etc, mainly can anyone recommend a good family site where we would be able to park up for a couple of weeks in august.

We toured France with a 36ft RV but never used sites.. so not much help I'm afraid .. but do check my Google map (link in signature) for Aires and some sites that will accommodate a large rig .. It can be a bit of a challenge finding suitable sites .. so hopefully someone else can advise on your chosen area.

Can't help with any specific sites, but the South of France will be fit to burst in August.

Personally I'd avoid it like the plague at that time of year.

I know of a few inland sites.
