Does anyone have any ideas where I can get an extra shelf for the Dometic Fridge Freezer model RMD8505? Not the door ones but an interior shelf that goes in the body of the fridge.

The part numbers for the shelf and retainer are 241 3965-0 and 241 3327-1 respectively. I don't want one of the metal universal shelves but a plastic grid type to match what is already there.

We might end up doing that Lenny.

Although I just had a thought that we have some free standing shelf units that are supposed to rationalise cupboard space. I don't use them now as they don't fit the lockers in the new van. They fold flat when not needed and also have a lip around the shelf part so they might do the job :)

This is the part number I used 2413981305, from http://www.leisurespares.co.uk. Worth checking with them to confirm the part, price was 2413981305 = £18.63 each + £4.95pp + vat

I was unsure whether I should have had another shelf. I can understand that some fridges have a spare slot so you can move the shelves about but the fridge needs shelves for all the slots. Will be interested to see what transpires. My initial enquiries last year found that they needed the serial number which is hidden away towards the bottom and rear of the fridge.

I ordered one (plastic) for my Dometic fridge from Southdowns and it came within a week - about£35 as I recall.

Would love to order extra shelves for my RMD8505 fridge also - would love to know where you get one from for £20?

Ridiculous prices, think I may get some 6mm perspex and do a DIY job

So don't call leisure parts then, but you need a shelf that allows air circulation and can support the weight, so a plain sheet of Perspex will not do.

I left the one I made without vent holes and fitted it above the salad tray, domestic fridges don't have vents in the glass shelf above the salad tray. If you do want to vent it drilling some holes in it is not hard.
