One of the joys of motorhoming.

Our first MOT for our van is due next month. Hope it passes.

Seems expensive at the time - as with our recent new tyres and fridge service - but when you reckon it's a once every 5 year item then it isn't so bad.

our expense horror story
in Luxembourg 2 yrs ago broke down on sunday called out for jump start E150. drove away and 30mins later all the dash started flashing on and off and then the van died - recovery to fiat dealer about E250 - E300. burnt out alternator, no replacement so they had it rebuilt E400 ish. holiday money spent time to go home early so had to buy a new tunnel ticket to add to the cost - all in all around E900 - E1000.
still not sure about Luxembourg !!!!!!!

Living the dream.
It's just cost us over five hundred quid on brakes and tyres this week and that's just parts, I fitted them myself!

£700 to sort out a glowplug error light...

...glowplug relay replaced due to intermittent failure
...failed glowplugs....stuck...had to be drilled out by specialists... :(
...by which time the front of my van had been removed, so at least I got to see a view of the engine I hopefully won't have again for a while!

Oh...and that was on top of a service + MOT

FIAT is definitely a 4 letter word around here at the moment

On the positive side, it passed the MOT and I now have the cleanest engine bay in the whole of South Wales
