To the chap who won't touch a spanner but does the electrics - good work sir. Electrics are still a bit of a mystery to me, I'd much much rather twirl a spanner. At least you can SEE what you're working with!

Erm... funny that is. I don't see it that way:winky:. With electrics I don't have to strip anything down to find where the fault is. A multimeter and 2 screwdrivers is usually enough to identify where 99% of faults are.:thumb:

With mechanical stuff the workings are all hidden usually inside big chunks of metal which invariables involves some spanner rash to get to.:Doh:
I think that is the most important point. No one can be good at everything. If people stick to what they are good at they not only avoid problems but actually get better at their own speciality. I prefer to go to someone who specialises in mechanicals when my needs it. I always make the argument you don't go to the dentist to get your boiler fixed...

BTW: I finally got a disturbed 6 hours sleep... So I am almost fully awake again now :thumb:
