have just emptied the loo cassette after forgetting to do it when we got home last weekend! Never again. No wonder I am in charge of the the stuff we eat and he's in charge of the stuff we deposit, never ever againoh:

I always feel this is a man's job (no pun intended) we have a septic tank here at home and he has to "deal" with that on a regular basis. So as far as I'm concerned he already has all the necessary training to empty the cassette
Every time I read a thread like this it reminds me of the scene in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, where Chevvy Chase's cousin comes to visit them in his RV and empties the sh***er down the roadside drain outside their house:thumb:

in our van we share cooking/washing up and both empty the cassette loo. i have even been seen to open the cassette door for the mrs to get it out

As FullTimer, I do all the cooking and empty the toilet.

The cassette things are pretty easy, though. A few minutes maximum to empty, refresh and replace. No really bad niffs, relatively clean and with little effort.

But I'm looking forward to getting my black tank system next week. The frequency of emptying the cassette seems rather too frequent.

The Thetford cassette we had in our rented Hymer took a mere day to fill up.

I like to leave a good 3-4 weeks after a trip if I can.
In that time all the solids have gone to liquids, as have the paper products, so it comes out nice and easy.....Bit niffy, but easier to get rid of:thumb:
