Hi all,

Thinking of doing up a panel van and going through the practicalities of it through my head. Done some research, and it seems like most people use foil bubble and stick it around the nocks and crannies. What about spray foam, though. Like the kind you buy in b&q. Wouldn't this be better? Or am I missing something.

Kieran.

Hi Kieran
Ralph did a lot of research into this as we want to use our own PVC all year round. He decided on this Black foam matting With glue on one side and foil on the other. Two different thicknesses of kingspan and sheeps wool for the roof supports, and hard to reach areas. Inside the doors etc. Using vapour barriers too.
Here's a link to his build. It's still ongoing. Good luck with yours.

You can only make 5 posts , before becoming a read only member. £10 for a year is money well spent when starting out on a build project. You'll get lots of advice from the members.

be aware that not leaving an air gap or vapour barrier will induce premature rusting
