On Saturday 31st May & Sunday 1st June, Kent Showground at Detling will host The 2014 UK Summer Motorhome Show, following its move from Shrewsbury.

This event will feature trade stands with new and used motorhomes for sale, along with all kinds of outdoor leisure accessories for motorhome owners. The UK Summer Motorhome Show will also feature plenty of stands to interest caravan owners too.

Kent Showground also has plentiful facilities for campers to stay on-site throughout the weekend in their motorhomes and caravans, with visitors attending from all around the UK. The venue also features fantastic indoor facilities for hosting evening entertainment featuring 2 free nights of top comedy and live music exclusively for weekend campers.

Kent Showground in Detling is close to the memorable city of Rochester, famous for its links with author Charles Dickens and featuring a fine Cathedral dating back to 604AD and a Norman Castle which stands proudly on the bank of the River Medway.

The South East of England has an extensive road network making Kent Showground easily accessible by road from the A249.

Here are the 2014 dates in full:

Yes agree, We had pencilled it in for next year on our way to or way back from Dumfies / Galloway --Lake district --- Yorkshire trip.

Looks like an extra tour will have to be put in place ,via granddaughters who live in Chislehurst kent.

As an ex suvvernor I resemble that remark. I liked Shrewsbury and made two good motorhoming friends from there. Hi, Sue and Pete. And did we meet the Fidgets there too? Either way, bring back Shrewsbury AND the last night of the Proms.

There could be 3 southern meets in 3 weeks

my 50th, the thetford bash and kent.

Great excuse for the scots, welsh and northerners to spend some time further south

Quite right too, you are left out that end of the UK.

For us ooop north it could be a stepping stone to EU mainland.

Too early in the year. Military Odyssey takes place at the end of August.

Just hope they keep the outdoor stage entertainment arrangement as that is brilliant and what made that event very special ..

They would have to set one up specially. There is no permanent outdoor stage at Detling. There are indoor halls but I can't remember there being a stage in them, just exhibition space. Plus the obligatory cattle sheds of course
