We are just waiting a couple of miles away from j11 m20. Booked on for 5.30pm. Should be looking forward to another weeks adventure in France. But seeing the news ect do I really want all this hassle to go over eurotunnel
We have frequent traveller but no time left this year to use apart from Xmas. We have another crossing booked last week in August and are now even considering booking a ferry from Portsmouth so we can look forward to the trip rarther than dreading the thought of it. Somebody mentioned on another thread about Brittany ferry codes to get cheaper crossings. Can anyone help?

Good luck, seems cars are not affected too bad.
Please keep us posted of your progress as you head towards the train.

    Go for it!
Once you're at the terminal it's pretty hassle free
Just allow plenty of time and check ahead on your return journey
    Go enjoy yourselves !

The media reports make these situations to be worse than they really are... always.

Travelled Thursday 23rd. Over Dartford crossing, got off at junction 2 onto A2 then M2 and back onto A2 then onto A260 down to A20 and onto M20 northbound to junction 11a as tunnel exit on A20 is closed. no traffic delays at all. Tunnel status said 30 mins wait a check in, it was clear, and then 2 1/2
hour on terminal. Booked on 17:50 allocated 19:20 actually left on 18:50 train so all in all not to bad.

I'd go if it were me. After all I am in the van, If I have a 4 hour wait then I can stick the kettle on and watch the tv, read a book or have a nap or whatever. its part of the point of having the van for me. takes the pain out of these situations. Now if I was stuck in a car that would be another story. Go and have a nice holiday. I was in France couple weeks ago and since we got back all I have been thinking about is going back in September lol
