We are going to France and Spain in April and plan to take Euros and a prepaid Euro card. Have been buying Euros since Dec 2012 in small amounts and the rate has fallen from 1.22 Dec 2012 to 1.14 as of today. Im tempted to load the prepaid card as soon as possible to get the best rate before it goes lower. I know its a gamble trying to predict the future rate but the financial markets say it could go lower. Are other funsters buying now or waiting until later.::bigsmile:

I have a few bob on my Caxton card that I got at 1.22 last year so am in no hurry to buy at todays rate. Having been a daily follower of the exchange rate I think it will get worse before if ever it gets better.

i always used to use my nw debit card to get cash but the last time the tourist rate was 1.17 i got from the bank 1.19 then checked and withdrawing 300 euro bank charges was ÂŁ6 so no more using the bank for me thanks i would have got the 1.17 from caxton if i would have loaded more but i think my caxton has done well the fact i loaded it for a few grand at a good rate helped

Looking at the way things are heading I just made a fone call and got 'my people' to buy a load of Euros.. Not a great rate compared with a while ago but 1.19 aint too bad :thumb:

worth a read about the pound/euro

So while we are all talking of Cameron's crazy announcement of an EU referendum, is The Real Plan to destroy the pound to stop us buying foreign goods, stop us going abroad and aid our exporters ?

A cunning plan.

Not to mention inflating our way out of debt....

We accuse them of being idiots in one breath then think them capable of Machiavellian type genius in the next :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
