Anyone else find them useful for unusual things?

I use the snipped off ends for mixing and applying epoxy adhesives like Araldite.
Replacing the useless plastic hinge thing on one of our folding chairs
Securing the red/white stripey reflector board onto the bikes when travelling in Europe.

Tempting fate, wizzer59!

this may need some examples, many of which I have used in the past:
Stopping loose bits on bike racks flapping
Stopping bike wheels turning
Replacing broken loops on awning
Replacing zipper pulls on awnings
"Locking" awning door flaps together ( Stanley knife needed as "key")
Tying loose tools together to stop them rattling
Fixing water hoses on engine cooling system
Making Christmas decorations - Daisy chains ( coloured once are best for this!)
Fixing broken window catches
Fixing broken dog leads
Fixing broken door catches
Temporary watch strap
Temporary shoe lace
Holding down things that rattle
Tying together the hands of the bad guy until the Police arrive
Tidying cables around the TV

Anyone else find them useful for unusual things?
