I had a letter from Simonstone today saying that the parts specially ordered for my vehicle had arrived, this took me by suprise as the last time I had been in touch with Fiat camper services all I got was a reference number and a "we may pay for the work to be done as a gesture of goodwill as the vehicle is out of its 3 year warranty period", its an 07 plate, at the time I rang Simonstone and gave them the Fiat reference and told them what was said, this was back in February.
I rang Simonstone who confirmed that Fiat had authorised the fitting of the Engine cover and could I bring the vehicle in this Thursday for the work to be carried out.
good service from both Fiat and Simonstone.
I have heard that the cover can direct water into other areas which can become a problem in very low temperatures, but that shouldnt be a problem for me.
