Engine coolant - daft question but I have no clue! (1 Viewer)

Hi all
Just been looking under the bonnet of my van and notice that the engine coolant level is at the minimum level. I have absolutely no mechanical/engine skills and have no idea what it needs to be topped up with!
I seem recall on a previous van I put the wrong stuff in and it went sludgy brown and had to be drained and flushed at a garage...

The van is a 2013 year Peugeot Boxer (2.2 diesel) - does anyone know what I need to put in?

For now, just a bit of water..... then tomorrow get down to Halfords and they'll give you the right stuff to top up next time...

If engine cold then it's probably ok.. check when engine is hot after a good run.. it will probably be at max then.

if it still needs topping buy correct coolant for your vehicle,

whatever you do don't put tap water in,
