Been a few years since we spent a few days here. used to be great for wild campimg. has it changed. is it allowed or accepted. realy want to go soon . after you lot read what i hope we will read. wont be any space left

Used to make this a day ride from Bristol, up to Rhyader, Elan, Devils Bridge, Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, Llandovery, Brecon, Abergavenny. Big miles, big smiles.

Rhayader car park

Hi there, you can overnight in the car park in the centre of Rhayader if all else fails, public loos there too.

theres a CL and a new small campsite directly below the first dam wall on the way from Rhyader if you cant find a suitable wild spot.

there are a few places up past the second lake and at the top lake. but i am not sure if you will get moved on staying more than a night or 2.

great views and walks but a bit "damp " at the moment.
