Hi all,
We have a stoves cooker on our bessacarr e495 on a 57 plate, bought it dec 2011. It has 3 gas rings and an electric hotplate, the electric hob worked momentarily when we first went to use it and since then won't come on we have changed fuses but no joy. The other odd thing is that when we light the gas ring using the electric ignition it makes the tv cut out? Any ideas on what's happening and how to fix it would be most welcome.

Rolling rolling rolling keep them doggies rolling!

changed the fuse......which fuse ?

have you looked in the main fuse board for any tripped breakers ?
i would expect the hob ring to be hard wired...not on a 3 pin plug/fused spur !

probably wrong and extremely unloikely, but the TV and electronic ignition may be on the same 12v circuit and activating the ignitor may pull too much power leaving very little for the TV, so shutting it down.

make sure that it is always turned off before you plug the hook up in.
the glass lids explode if the safety switch goes faulty the other way
