Electical Advice needed...pleeeeeeease:thumb:
We are thinking of investing in a C.Teck All Singing/Dancing[-Best in the world charger::bigsmile:/B]
Our M/H is a a' 56 plate Kentucky ..similar to the Rimor BUT the on board Power supply charger has been playing up now and again.....

If we purchase one of these C-teck chargers and ft it as a permanent onboard unit direct to the battery bank; will there be any possible conflict with the existing m/h 12v supply/charger unit.??

PS When plugged into the mains campsite/home electrics the existing charger can only be switched off via the rocker switch on the top of the charger unit.....should we do this??

Many thanks for all your ON-Topic replies :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

If existing is suspect remove it totally.

Buy a proper caravan charger if fixing permanently. £80ish on ebay.

Oooooooooooerrrrrrrrrr.

A bit more than your average charger then.

It's the safest thing to remove a suspect unit.

But buying a proper charger rather than multi-purpose little unit still stands particularly if you have to press buttons to activate it every time you hook up.

A proper job one will give you 20A charging, what does little one offer ?

Since 1990 ish...
Hi David,

Agreed with Hilldweller, the SAFEST way is to remove the suspect charger.
If there are more wires than you understand then take it to someone that does and pay to get the job done properly.

p.s. "Achmed" sounds fun.
