Afternoon all,on this nice wet day camped at Widnes in my Rv,outside where im working.Im having a problem with the fuel pump at the moment. It had a temporary job done to it last Friday,OUCH had to call Pye Commercials out to get it started. So my Question is do i have to put an american pump on it ,12vlts,or might i use another pump.Ive priced a pump up at RV Spares at Gloucester and they are quoting 153pnds,which is a lot of dosh.Look forward to any comments!. When you say "Fuel" pump, I presume you mean the lift pump. Is it the one by the tank ?.
Is it Cummins or Chevy engined.

If its Cummins powered its only a lift/booster pump as the engine is so far away from the tank. Cummins engines will feed themselves from the injector pump. There are lots of 12 volt pumps suitable for diesel on the bay. I use one for blowing fuel from my secondary tank into my main tank. Around £30 should do it. Make sure you get the high delivery version.
