Yes the legal cut of 15.5 but easy to ride above that when you have momentum!

@Teuchter didn't you not see my R&M list post the other week. Could have got you two R&M bikes for that....sorry but in a different league

Didn't see R&M post Eddie - looked at Haibike, Scott, Kalkhoff and a couple more before settling on Motus

"wor lass" particularly liked the motus for its comfort & ease of use - and who am I to argue?

The Scott did not have a bosch motor, the haibike was too expensive, the kalkhoff though significantly more expensive, was my favourite but again not a bosch motor so as with most things in life an amicable compromise was reached :)

On close inspection the overall quality of the Motus seemed very good indeed and an opinion census of the Motus owners I contacted proved to be very good.

Time will tell :) :)

Just bought a Scott E Aspect 720, should arrive in 2 weeks. I can't wait, tried a number of different ones but loved the Scott. The bosch motor is effortless, pedalling with power assist makes the hills just vanish. The bottomline is whichever brand you go for as long as you're happy that's all that matters!

Very pleased with our Scotts both have the Bosch motor and the price was right brought from Germany of course, can't afford UK prices.

Even with the Euro @ 1.40 with shipping from Germany no real difference in UK price we have paid and UK dealer does 3yr interest free (y)
I brought from Germany saved over £800 after paying for shipping on two bikes. Also brought a couple for my mate, shipping for 4 bikes was €67 and they arrived in 2 days, Euro was 1.35 at the time.
List price in UK was £2200 each best discount we could get was 5%, I paid €9075 inc., shipping for 4, that was £1680 each at @1.35 or £1620 @ 1.40.

have never spent more then £40 for shipping....

just had a quick look and substantial savings to be made on a model for model comparison. The Haibike I bought in 2013 was advertised here for £2800 got it on German ebay for £1400. sold it at beginning of this summer when I got the R&M for £1400... could have sold 10 of them interest was so high..

We bought two Kalkhoff bikes 4 years old now and still going strong. We paid about £3300.00 for the two and have been very pleased. I wouldn't pay the same again though if I was going to replace. There are lots of bikes available now and I personally would be looking at not more than £500 per bike.
