Has anyone found an insurance company who will insure electric bikes for a full year while touring Europe?

Double check house insurance if you think you are insured for electric bikes I could not find a company that would.

Actually, in reality, aren't the rechargeable battery bikes as opposed to electric bikes. I wanted an electric bike but couldn't find a long enough cable.:rofl::rofl:

Are you looking for third party insurance which I believe may be required in Spain or just insurance against loss .

Double check house insurance if you think you are insured for electric bikes I could not find a company that would.
Most companies will cover them on the house insurance but in most cases you have to specify them. Ours are covered on our Direct Line house policy. Previously were on our Saga house policy but they changed the underwriters and at renewal would only cover them in the UK.
Nationwide cover them as standard on their policy but it is limited to only £1000 per bike and to increase the value doubled the premium.

Well I am not having much luck. Everyone I have contacted will only insure the bikes for 90 days in Europe.

We have no house insurance as we are between properties and renting at the moment.

Any further suggestions welcomed.

Something very old with the paint peeling off and very un-loved .. Who would want to nick that .. Have you tried the Caravan Club .. We have found them to be very helpful even with house insurance when away for longer than 90 days. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. Get some very good locks and be careful where you leave them. I lock ours together back to front with two D style locks. Then a wire rope with another D Lock. You would need a lot of time to get it all undone.
