My hymer 80 amp gels are nearly 10 years old and still going strong. Most of my camping is non hook up, so they get heavily used.

These were supplied by Vanbitz with a 7 yr warranty but Elecsol went bust. The batteries are absolutely fine and even after standing 11 days have only dropped 0.01 volt 1/10th of a volt. They have never been abused

These have been stored outdoors in my shed since November and the voltage is now at 12.87 after 8 months. So the self discharge is next to nothing.

Hello Andy, Seems that i was being a bit hasty in condemning my Elecsol batteries after all,as we were away touring off grid a few nights here and there on Brit Stops didn't really get chance to check the system properly now that we're back i have had chance to look at it and found that something is draining the batteries so i'm just in the process of fuse pulling the system to try and trace the faulty item, sorry for wasting your time about the batteries .

These batteries were only removed because I wanted a much bigger battery bank but could not obtain nor afford more of them. The 4x125ah batteries I replaced them with were only £85 each delivered.

These have been in the unheated brick shed all through last winter and now in October nearly a year later they have only lost point one of a volt from self discharge

Had mine 4 years, but all things come to an end.
Tried one with the tele rated 4.5 amp for 2 hrs today, started out at 12.96 V finished up at 10.44 V not a very happy battery me thinks.And they are 135 amp/hour elecsol AGM.
