He's helping me out.. :)

I was trying to find out how to edit an incorrect thread title, hopelessly staring at the "edit" options...

If on a Mac it is the GRAB utility that allows you to take a screen shot in whole or in part and save it as a picture.
In Windows it's often referred to as a Snipping tool.

There's a separate button "Edit Title" which you should see if you try and edit a thread after you have created it. But there is the usual time limit.

Whereas on a PC, you hold down [ctrl] and [prtscn] to grab the whole screen, or [alt] and [prtscn] to only copy the active window. then select a graphics programme, windows paint is good, and select paste from the edit menu! Voila, your screen as an image :D

Grab & snipping are better utilities as you can be specific and only grab what you put in frame.
Thus

Long time
oh dear I am still no wiser

I think i'm right, that you can get a pic of something that is on your PC/iPad/laptop screen.
On an iPad it's hold the 'home' button & the main 'turn off' button at the same time, that gives you a pic of whatever is on the screen at the time!
Sorry if i've muddied the waters!
