Since the demise of my IG2600 kipor (inverter 'board' failure) on monday i have considered having the onboard 'Generac 55G' converted to LPG and run off the 130ltr domestic tank.

has anyone any experience of Edge technology ?

their DIY kit is £230... a new board for the kipor is £299 Link Removed

Hi John, and nice for me to answer a techie question for you for a change. Edge technology are 5 mins from my house. They are Honda dealers dealing in lawn mower and gennies.
Lovely family type people but weird. I went there last year and got some service bits for my honda genny. I asked about the LPG conversion kits and here is the words out of his mouth, He does not do them for any other models, he would not recommend them for any other models, and I got the distinct impression that despite his Ebay advertising to the contrary, he doesn't actually like the idea. But a nice bloke.

You are confusing two problems here.

Your kipor is kippered.

Your genny works fine. £230 buys a shedload of petrol even today, the payback time will be years, why do it, esp as haggars has cast doubt on the conversion.

Somehow its been picked up from the RV Owners club. Spooky, but I'd be surprised if it was there after the reboot.

i doubt that very much Brian....

the genny engine is a 480cc V twin turning a 5.5kw genny.

i would say the £230 would run it for less than 60 hours @ 50% load.

after that its costing me money and these RV gennies are very thirsty.

Paul obviously spoke to the cleaner, not the main LPG man.
