My Eberspacher D2 Airtronic space heater has just started playing up, just 10 days before I go on a trip. It started by not blowing it's normal strong output then stopped completely on heating or cold blower. On EHU for test and 12.8v arriving at the unit. On checking the voltages whilst starting/running I noticed a large fluctuation in voltage, wild fluctuations between 11.0v and 12.8v so wondered if a loose connection so cleaned all contacts. Whilst under the MH I noticed a section of the duct pipe has been crushed so this has been removed. Now heater won't start unless I run it on cool blower first for 30 seconds, then fires up ok and runs fine. But if I go out there now and switch heater on nothing starts unless I do cool blower again! strange?

So now I'm looking for a service and repair on the unit and hopefully somewhere local to Dorset as time is not on my side - (unless someone knows what my problem is?)

Then I need some more parts, 24m exhaust pipe, a new silencer and some 60mm ducting pipe - any recommended suppliers?

Also must recommend this site - pretty much the most information on eberspacher heaters in one place I've found --- http://letonkinoisvarnish.co.uk/Eberspacher_Intro_1.html

No joy with this guy so far, e-mailed him and phoned him numerous times over the last 4 days, left messages but no response so not looking good.

More urgent now too as heater only blowing cold air now and not firing up at all.

Found a company called Krueger in New Milton and Portsmouth so wondering if anyone has experience of them?

krueger marine are very helpful, as would be most boat mechanics. sounds like your oxygen sensor has failed if it needs cold air before firing up.

eberspacher at ringwood is also a good bet but expensive if i recall
