The question to anybody that uses one of these Hydra-Trail scooter/motorbike trailers is, how are they classed on the French toll roads?

Does it count as a trailer and push a normally class 2 vehicle into class 3.

Does it count as an extra axle and put a class 3 into class 4.

Or do they just ignore them.

All experiences much appreciated.

At over three metres We have been classed at three but they always drop it to two when we query it

I think the toll booths work more on height than axles and I suspect when you query it they only see the camper van on the camera.

Hi Mike

Thanks for your input, it's not for us as we are well into class 3 and they are very reluctant to change, the question is for a friend who is class 2 but wonders if one of these "trailers" would make any difference to his classification.
