Filling in DVLA form D2 to renew C1/D1 Licence at 70 do you also have to submit the D46P for A/B categories or does this come automatically with the C1 renewal? Does anyone have a contact telephone number to actually get through to a real person at DVLA rather than an automated reply system?

I used it a while back. Man on end of line wanted to know how I got his number.
Just blagged it.
Hope it still works.

Erm it may not be Jim the wifi here shows a brilliant 15.6 Mbps but it is the usual story where a few are sucking it dry all day long

Right nicking a bit of Munchies wifi so I will try again

You should not need to fill in the D46P form but you do need a D4 and a D2 form one of which you can download from the DVLA website the other you have to get direct from DVLA. Which ever one that you cannot download you can request from the DVLA website, which is a better way of doing it as when I sent a stamped addressed envelope 9 months ago I am still waiting.

One of the above forms has to be filled in by your own doctor although there are some organisations that will do it for you but DVLA may request additional info. from your doctor and thus slowing the process down

Ringing DVLA is a chore to say the least and I bet a pound to a hayseed if you speak to two different people there you will get two different answers
