Dusseldofe Messe is at the end of the runway, camping area can be noisey.

We went for the second time last year, planes taking off directly overhead until midnight, started again at 5.00am. Might go there for the day this year, definitely not camping there again - but brilliant show.

Looks like I will be flying in to see the show, thought about staying Mon,Tues,Wens is there any days that would be best to avoid/busy?

Last time we went, knakered after a long day at the show followed by many beers in the Marqee never heard a plane.

Have to say, I think the bathroom is one of my favourite things on our Hymer. It's so spacious, and a pleasure to shower in. It really does contribute to our enjoyment in using the van.

.....But there are other things that I like on Carthagos - particularly the upholstery.

One of the reviews on Camper contact suggest you can also buy your stellplatz ticket in advance for half price but Ive trawled through the caravan salon site and cant find it. Anyone else know how?

We went a few years ago, I seem to remember you joined caravan salon ( German site). You definitely didn't need to pay to become a member but it did then give you lower priced tickets.

Club price for the show is €10 for 2 days or €6 if over 60, camping €15/night (full price €18). The marquee by the camping has a band on every night and it's free, cheap food & beer.

Correction, camping overnight is free you only pay for parking from 8am until 5pm, you can arive 5pm on Monday spend 2 days at the show and leave Thursday morning and only pay for 2 days parking.
