Hi - Have been quite a few times now, far cheaper than the English shows and so much more - language not a problem as most speak english.

It's not easy always to find but if you look for junction 29 on the A44 it should be fine sat nav position is 51°16.183 N 6°43.280 E

You can join the Caravan salon club for a reduced price - probably on line - but if your over 60 you get the same price. daily tickets are in Euro 19 two day 12 club members or over 60 one day 8 and two day 12 euro

The actual parking they seem to have put up but you also save by having a club card so probably worth trying to get one sent to you - also if you get there after 16.00 it's free for the night -

Be worth going on the web site and clicking on caravan centre and downloading the Caravan centre pdf

They use the car parks and pack them in quite tight nose to tail but plenty of room at the sides - the bus (free) runs during the day to the show then switches to Dusseldorf in the evening - they have shows every night and the usual German food and drink -

They have the usual showers etc. but getting onto the electricity area is quite difficult and never yet been able to and now don't worry about it, think you have to get there a couple of days before it opens and all the exhiitors seem to grab those.

If you buy a new motor home there, just been through the mill - no real problems to look out for apart from some of the motorhomes don't have mph on the speedometer and will cost about £600 to change if it's a Ford.

Have now been told by my German solicitors that VAT should not be charged by the supplier as you will no doubt supply a english address and you only have to pay the VAT here. DVLA can also be a PAIN, and expect you to put your motorhome on a lorry for them to inspect, I just ran mine on the import plates and no one seemed to worry.

It's probably worth getting a two day ticket as there is more than enough to see for two days and makes it a lot easier to get round if your not rushing.

May see you there, just this moment planning our trip over and then thinking of continuing down to Switzerland - look out for a Hobby (amongst thousands) with 2010 english plates, knock on the door be pleased to see you. - Cheers - Richard

We have been racking our brains and have a feeling that the parking (you cannot call it a campsite really even though you sleep there) was 6 euros without strom (electricity) and 10 with, that was last year. Paying cash is easiest, no need to book. They pack you in... forget any rules of distance and preferences for 'personal space'. We enjoyed the show though found that there were not so many gadget buying opportunities as you get at shows here, a lot of the stands are for trade people to advertise their products to van builders and retailers. There was a stand selling and demonstrating smoothie makers. Lots to try and delicious. Have fun  Jane and Bob

It is Monday morning 08.00hrs and are at a campsite in Holland. We are nearly washed out and so made the decision last night to cut the visit and drive to Dusseldorf.
