Just boarded the return ferry back to Dover it is the 2pm sailing and it is now 6pm. Add to that the couple of hours spent in stop starting shuffling along to the checking and it makes a bit of a nonsense of the DFDS website that said between 60 and90 mins delay. Quite a few buses an cars did not even make this sailing. I am sure the French workers will be happy with their negative efforts to try to keep what was the old Sea France workers employed. Just hope the farmers do not support them or we will be in for a long haul.

Hi I have just arrived in a campsite (Lois Ariane) near Le Havre and did intend carrying on to Calais but think with all the news I will sail from Le Havre or associate ports.
Will go and have a look at the Pegasus Bridge tomorrow and look on crossing Sunday.
Anyone in the area say hi.

Sailed from Dunkirk this morning. Boarded the 07:00. Drove around all the trucks with police guidance. Vessel was 30 minutes late leaving. Just relieved to be at home!

Think UK truckers and travelers should block the Tour de France route in the not to distant future and see how long it takes for the Gendarmerie to wade in with the batons and tear gas.Not very long I suspect!

Not a nice experience.

Now what is it that people keep saying to me? A motorhome holiday in France is so much more relaxing, that was it :rofl::rofl:
Well we did pass through France but on route to Germany. Had a great month there and bought a log cabin in the hills above Zell Mosel. With the exchange rate as it is not a difficult decision.

Getting there!
We're running the gauntlet tomorrow. We were due out today but got stuck in a big jam round Brussels so decided to bailout into a platze in Westende. Gonna sit it out tomorrow. Hope the flexi ticket holds up.!!!
