That's unfortunate, but there are more and more vans being produces rated at 3500kg. Hope you get it worked out.

What is the payload like if you downplated to 3500?
Could be just workable or what a bout a small trailer although tow bar will weigh 50 - 70 kg.

If we downrate with what is already fitted to the vehicle, if plated at 3500 indicates from our weigh bridge weight certificate (yesterday) that we have only 140kg left ! that's without my wife, two bikes, no water, no clothes..we have already consulted with Gareth at SvTech who confirms my assessment so it remains at 3850, still hell of a nice van though!
Ps, looked at trailers..but just more hassle...

That's a shame agree about trailers.
I see you are in Lancing, are you on the coast road opposite Graham & Dee?
