The spare wheel retaining mechanism on my van is operated by a cable system. The bar that operates this is missing from the toolkit. Does anyone know where I can get one please?

I can't help with where you can buy the bar from but when I installed mine, I made up an extension piece using 8mm Hexagon nuts on a long bolt-which worked ok. You can then use this with a spanner or other means in your tool kit to lower or raise your spare, until you find a replacement

Thanks for your help Jim. Mine must be different from yours because it's not hexagonal it's five-sided.
