Unfortunately a London Bus wiped out my mirror on my Fiat Ducato Swift Bolero.
There seems to be some confusion about the mirror arm length.
Short
Medium
Long
Mine measures 170mm at the top which I believe is the medium one ,can any one confirm this ?
A replacement assy from Haynes is £328.00 plus VAT and fitting .

Barry, is the whole mirror a right off or just part of it? We had this happen in Croatia this year and had to replace the back, indicator lens and mirrors but fortunately the main arm/housing itself was okay.

having removed it ,seems it could be rebuilt.
but what is causing a problem is the length of the arms ,definitely not a short arm. i am hoping it is the one i found on ebay .it says long arm but the picture looks like a medium arm. i have sent an enquiry to them asking for measurements, hoping it is 170mm.

Might be an idea to buy mirror guards. Certainly helped save me a lot of money. Hope you can maybe repair it.

Well that`s our 13th year & still loving it.
I smashed my mirror off our door driving back from Cornwall in October, bought a full replacement off eBay cost £170. was worried when it arrived as the wiring ws different, by that I mean not all the cables were present.
However when fitted and plugged in everything works as it should, the only thing I can think is that the heating elements won`t work though haven`t tried them as of yet.
For £170 delivered I can live without heated mirrors.

since 2006 ( I think ! )
Probably long arm.
They are available on eBay from about £125 and take about 40 minutes to fit with the most basic of tools.
On Youtube there are several vids showing how to do it if you are unsure
Mine ( both of them over time ! ) came from eBay, they were complete with all the electrics etc etc.
But even if you find one without the electrics the bits just swap from old to new ( did one for a mate about 18 months ago )

Barry ... who's paying for the replacement? You or the bus company? If them, then get the Fiat one, of not then get an Ebay one.

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
I have the Bolero and have had to replace the near side. It is indeed the long arm. Apparently (and I have researched this) there is only one production line in Europe for the Ducato wing mirror so the ones on ebay are exactly the same as the OEM.
