In France, with my 2014 Autotrail. I borrowed my pal's compressor to check my tyre pressures, he also with a Ducatoa Swift. This is the unit supplied in place of the spare wheel, with an aerosol repair can for his unit. It blew both fuses, F14 and F15 in the engine compartment. My pal tried it on his, and it also blew a fuse. The problem for me, was that replacing the fuses made no difference to the loss of power to the sockets, whilst he managed by replacing the fuse to get his power back. It is probably a relay, but everything else seems to work on the same bank adjacent to the relays. Fiat don't regard it as a major problem, but suggested I take it to a dealer some eighty miles away. Has anyone else suffered this problem, and could they suggest an answer please?

Are you sure the replacement fuse was good? I blew mine last week, didn't have a spare so pinched one from the window demisting circuit, F30 if IIRC. It only demists the mirrors and as I am Spain in glorious sunshine (I wish) this is no loss.

Thanks for the reply. I bought a box of fuses, quite cheap from Ebay, so no shortage, and I've checked the fuses with a meter.

I recently changed a fuse for cig lighter and it was one of the fuses inside cab, ours is an 07 Ducato.

We had a satnav that blew all 4 cigarette type sockets - 2013 Ducato - while I was trying to work out what was up.
We (with great difficulty & masses of help from John's Cross, bless 'em) replaced the ones in the engine compartment but the numbering wasn't logical which caused some confusion, so it might be worth checking that you've changed the correct fuses.
We also had to change a fuse in the hab area for the 2 sockets there.

It will change. We are coming your way!

I still remember the conversation last year we had with a bloke we met when we arrived at a campsite near Valencia: "First rain we have had for nine months today."

I could probably make a fortune in a place like Australia where they are having a drought....

Strange, that's where we're heading on Sunday. We want some real warmth. Been sunny but chilly in the Dordogne, especially in the evening. We'll have to revert back to the old days, where the cigarette socket was just for that, rather than running sat nabs and phones.

Our fiat ducato both 12v cig on the dash board do not work and assumed fuses. Really annoying as it has gone in for a service today and they said it would cost £51 to fully investigate and change fuses!!! What a con, we were going to try it ourselves but it is just at the end of warranty and thought best to get it checked.

@Spidey Be warned that on some Ducatos, the manual lists the fuses for the two 12v sockets on the dash the wrong way round. Shouldn't matter too much to you as neither of them work, but when only one has failed & you don't know about the manual being wrong, it's really frustrating when you check the fuse the manual says is for the one that doesn't work & find that the fuse is fine.

Thats half of the problem....cheap chinese fuses, usually off ebay or from pound shops.
Inferior quality and probably none existant factory quality control checks.

Take a fuse of the same value from a different circuit and try that.....or if you have a multeter set it to OHMs or continuity and check the fuse that way, no good just looking at it.

Opps...missed the end of your post.

I've had this exact scenario on 2 vans, an '04 & '55 reg 2.8 ducatos...and the fuse ratings weren't as stated in the manual.

Thanks i will keep that in mind. They checked a few bits out and determined that is was our fuses. But the only charged £32 for the job! It was only because it was in for its service and the warranty runs out next month. Live and learn
