Ducato 2001 washer bottle (1 Viewer)

Can hear the pump working, but no water coming out. Bottle is full and the jets are not blocked. Can not see the pump from the bonnet and although I can see the bottle from underneath, I can not see the pump. Any idea's?

Could there pipes be frozen somewhere? It's b cold here - a bit further along the coast! Park it in the sun for a while!

Hi Bill, No not pipes and no water leaking onto ground. So I am thinking blockage in pump/filter. But I can't locate the bloody thing. It's a 2.8Ltr lump, so not enough room to swing a mouse under the bonnet. K

We had a problem with ours.
To get at it you have to take the bumper off.
The garage that we took ours to could not source a new one and we eventually had a second hand one fitted.
Good luck with it.

Hi I removed the grill and headlight to get to the pump, it has a filter on the end of the suction pipe

On ours the pump fitted where the black washer is.

We had a problem with water loss on our 2003 2.8l van in September 2014. I couldn't see what it was so called the mechanic who services our van. He diagnosed, and replaced, a faulty pump. The location is, I think, the same as in Lesley Jean's photo but Paul didn't have to remove anything to get at it. He was able to do it from underneath, lying on his back on our drive.
