Our ducato MH has suddenly developed a wobble? Not all these time just now and again?
It's a definite vibrate
Checked the drive shaft, but thats tight and no movement. CV joints OK. Checked rubber boots OK, one circlip a bit lose
Set off again and after a while it's wobbling vibtating again?
Done 1500 kms in the last week driving through France and now into Spain without any problems
Anyone any ideas what it can be?
Thanks

Check the wheels are on correctly and all nuts tight as this can cause wobble. Other than that it could be tracking, or a wheel balance weight has gone astray which will cause 'wobble' only at certain speeds, this to me is the most obviously cause.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Also, check for an inside bulge on one of your front tyres. You might not see it at first, if any bulge is against the road. Also, the early Ducato's got through track rod ends at an alarming speed, changed one of mine twice now.

A worn wheel bearing can cause the wheel nuts to loosen unevenly. A steadily increasing rhythmic hum is one symptom.

When ours started to go on a trip to Europe I was tightening the old nuts (ooer missus) at every stop on the journey, until we got home.

No noplay in wheel bearing. It has just passed its French mot. Hubby says all tyres are OK taken them all off and checked.
It vibrates. When you get to 80 kms !
he says only thing is just a slight movement on drive shaft, only a little bit, so it has got us stumped?
Off for a test drive tomorrow up to Salou, if we have the same problem we will have to find a site there and stop over.... Any good sites there that are open now? Just in case ..

it happans with speed? maybe as simple as a wheel weight has come off and they need to be rebalanced

Just tootling along at 80 kms and then vibrations from right hand side! When we slowed down it stopped ? We hit a bad patch of road a few km back. Well we will tell you tomorrow ! Off back up to Salou instead of going south!

Worth checking wheel balancing and alignment
Weight can fall off and alignment can go out if you hit a pot hole

Just to let every one know what the problem was with our Ducato MH
It was the shock absorber on the right hand side!
Replacing them this week
Tyres were ok.

Why not go to a normal garage and see if they can get one for you?
