I have just finished cleaning the tanks on my motorhome and find that the taps which drain these tanks are very slow to drain as the outlets are quite small in relation to the pipes. As far as I can tell these taps are the same as the ones on my water butt !!!!

My question to all you funsters is do you know of any way of changing these taps to something that will drain quicker.

I'm sure that a motorhome tinkerer will have will have the answer.

Thanks

if you mean the fresh tank, they are all notoriously slow to drain.......try draining mine 70 GALLONS/ 315ltrs when full !!!!

theres no point fitting large drain taps as the pipe from the tank is only around 12mm.

if you mean the grey tank then your local plumbers merchant should be able to help, but i believe most are around 32mm anyway so may be partialy blocked with grease/gunge.

try opening and probing the tap/pipe GENTLY with a blunt 'rod' to see if it is blocked.
old bit of hosepipe is ideal.

get ready for the sudden outrush ! :roflmto:
