    In the 60s and 70s, my uncle mums brother made camper vans (Oxley Coachcraft).

    He'd buy new VW transporters from the makers, literally cut the back off with a tinplate cutter, and bond a new fibreglass camper body in its place. I can't imagine there are any of those left, it was the very early days of fibreglass. Or buy builders pickups from the auctions, (low mileage, he said) and replace the pick up part with a new body and rent them out. He used all the available bases, Commer, Transit, etc. Though I can't remember a Dormobile version. Different times.

    Well it is certainly on an old Bedford and they were usually Dormobile.

    Loved the sexist soundtrack ! Saw that one of the women had a bath (was it Dora) ? Huh, no mention of what they did with the grey water tho !!!

    The front passenger/drivers seat folds up. ( steering wheel in shot). Bath is under there.

    Very enjoyable, even if a little cringeworthy at times, film. Like others though, I can't figure that bath out!

    I don't think there was enough water in that bath to worry about disposal. It probably evaporated :Eeek::Eeek:

    What a lovely van :) those were the days we were under canvas, that would have been the lap of luxury to us.

    Anyone notice the rear door 'retainer'? (A plank of wood wedged under the lock!)

    Forget Miley Cyrus. That woman's pencil skirt, heels and a blouse - Now THAT is sexy! We need a bit more of that on the rally ground, rather than the top & slacks 'uniform' that all girls wear these days. :imoutahere:

    Dora Brian looked old then, or was just the fashions of the day. I wonder about the two double beds they mention, where did they go?
