The door vents ( one on the gas door and the one on the hab door ) are both aging terribly and cracking up.. They were like it when the van was bought at 20 months old.. not good !

In the past 2 or 3 years I have been unable to find replacements.. ( The van is made under the SEA banner, and is a Miller States Alabama .. made in Italy and we have never EVER seen another one ! )

O'leary's do not seem to have anything to offer even vaguely like.. Anyone got a clever solution ?

Wasn't SEA at one time tied up with Auto sleeper is it possible that Marquis Motorhomes who were in the same group could help, worth a try.

That's funny, they were saying the same about you earlier.

Surely you've typed "louvred vents" into google and got 530,000 hits in 0.15secs.

Sorry Brian, louvred vents are not really what I want. They are pennies from B & Q...

I really want the proper double skinned with fitted net type that recess's in to the hole

Vent ...

Hey John, try a photo, bet someone's got one in their spares or 'come in handy' pile.

Infact you could probably find one in your garages/sheds, if you had a week or two to spare:Smile:

Thanks for that Dez, but again they are just surface mounts rather than the pucka recessed ones..
Richard, you are correct mate.. I will have a proper measure up and a fotoshoot on the morrow

John,
Try Magnum Motorhomes at Grimsby. (Google)
Their place is a real Alladin's cave, where the self builders get bits.
Very helpful.

many many years! since I was a kid
these people are excellent for sourcing rare/outdated parts, as they buy up surplus stock from the manufacturers
http://www.charlesandson.co.uk/

if the originals are just discoloured/yellowed by the sun, why not try painting them with a suitable paint? any replacement will only do the same and yellow within months anyway

There are actually cracking up ! Very poorly made and they have not used UVP stuff at all

I have tried Miller and S.E.A. so yes, all these places folk are suggesting for large stock holders are really appreciated
