We're at Villneuve des Diziers, Saw the sun all day today with blue sky and very few clouds. First good day this trip which started ten days ago. It makes such a difference - those cold wet windy days have been a bit depressing. Have heard The Camargue has good weather. Never fancied going there - am I missing anything? Isn't it marshes and mozzies?

Camargue is very nice indeed, we have been several times now.

There's an MH overnight place in the town centre and a shop close by. The sea will be rough now but the temp should be 18+ and it will be quiet these days.

Really nice fish restaurant out of town to the east around one of the tangs (lakes) but can't remember it's name....

If you like wildlife then it's worth the trip. Bird life is superb even if the Flamingoes get a bit boring after a while.

Thanks for your answer. Which town would that be? Arles, Aigues Mortes?

weather south of France

was at Narbonne for 4 / 5 days weather fairly sunny but it was real windy, today we are at Carcassonne and its an absolutely beautifull day, will stay here a few days, but the weather is set to go down hill here on Tuesday. The view of the Pyrenes is stunning with large white snow caps still, apparently the coldest May for 50 years.

But been away 2 weeks tomorrow and the weather has been less than kind.

it appears that the sun is holding along the med coast but the wind is from the north so very sharp. so when we have had a good look at the old Citie of Carcassonne we will be heading back east. poss Arles area.:thumb:

the forecast seems to be improving over the next week in south east France but the west coast and anything north of Tolouse looks fairly grim for this time of year.
