We have just bought our motorhome ::bigsmile: but are having a few niggles:Sad:The fridge seems to work well on gas, but i'm not sure it's working on 12v or 240v. Any ideas?

Hi :welcomefunster:
The fridge will only work on 12v from the engine when travelling not when parked up.
240v ........ check fuses & trips

Ours was not working on 12v when driving recently. All fuses were OK so took vent cover off and all the connections were there. A "spade" connector had come loose, pushed it fully home and all was OK.
Worth checking. :thumb:

as previously stated, the 12v only works with the engine running due to high battery drain.
12v only maintains a 'pre-cooled' temperature....it doesnt cool the fridge.

230v mains powers a heating element, via a thermostatic control, in the back of the fridge.....either the element or the thermostat may have failed if the breaker is turned on in the fuse box and power is getting to the fridge.

the fridge is completely silent in operation on 12v and 230v
