My fridge keeps going on and off. Sometimes after couple of days both on electric and gas. Someone suggested taking it out and turning it upside down for a while. Anyone done this and been successful.

not long enough
I don't think that would fix an electrical issue, all it used to do was move the gas around

sounds more like a controller issue to me (y)

That used to be a well known solution for an absorption fridge not cooling when it got an air lock in the system.
Not sure if that would work for you though
If the indicators are showing that mains and gas are connected OK and it's not cooling it might be worth trying.

IF it`s working, but intermittently, then it is unlikely to be "airlocked" (no air involved its a liquid / vapour consisting of 2 or more gasses). Check, all the electrical connections you can get to, remove and replace plugs, They can get dirty. After which it is time to call the "Experts", as it is likely there is a control module issue.
