just a heads up to anyone using tesco voucher for tunnel tickets you cant use them to pay for a dog we havent done this before and went on to the tunnel website put all our details in to get the total cost then went to the tesco site and redeemed that amount of vouchers then rang to book the tunnel only to be told we couldnt use them for the 34 pounds dogs ticket so we had changed up more than we needed to and no chance we can use them before the expire
i then emailed tescos complaing and they have reimbursed us but thought it might save someone the hassle by posting it here

The charge for dogs is an administrative charge imposed on Ferry Companies and the Channel Tunnel to cover the cost of the Pet Passport Scheme.

The money is passed to DEFRA by the Companies, they don't keep it, which is why we have to pay the full cost with no discount schemes allowed.

Telco vouchers are still an excellent way to pay for the Tunnel. It is just a shame that the ferry companies are not so accommodating.

It's something that probably could be made clearer on the Tesco site. It is there but only if you click the T&Cs link and it isn't worded all that well.

It's one of those things that once you know about you don't give it another thought
