As I'm off soon, I've just done the usual VDI, other checks and wound up thinking that I'd better have a look at the spare wheel and its tyre pressure. As I've never had it off before (Oh Please ) and I must admit, I've not looked at the manual. I wondered how easy these things come off their mount.
I presume there's a handle somewhere in the vehicle tools that locates into that hard plastic dubree (see pic) which lowers the wheel. What I couldn't figure is where the large spring and nut (see pic) that protrudes through the centre of the wheel comes into play.
Anyone had dealings? Or does one just claim some affliction and let the breakdown crew sort it?
