I have tried many times to use the cruise control on our cars and motorhome, yet cant get the feeling that the vehicle is slightly out of control from my mind. I know I have friends who use it all the time and wouldn't be without, but I never feel happy when its on. It just makes me nervous. How does everyone else feel? Is it me? Am I being paranoid?

Since 2011 (tugger for 20 before that)
I use on the car on long journeys and would use it on the MoHo if I had it (maybe on the new one due next year).
I know what you me re out of control but you soon get used to it and it is quite relaxing. (y)

On and off for many years.
It's good on the motorway or a good clear road, saves the right foot ankle.

Takes a bit of getting used to though.

5 years, feel free to ask me about the Carado!!
Well judging by some of the Russian driving videos on youtube, the Russians must even have it on old Ladas, and just drive with it on continuously, because they never seem to remotely stop even when a vehicle is directly in front of them.

I dont have it on my current manual van, but I do have it on my car, my next van will be an auto and I will spec it for sure, really useful on long runs down the autobahn etc.

Use it whenever possible, and its a good way to keep to reduced speed limits through road works. In practice as others have said I use it for hours driving on continental motorways.

Excellent bit of kit, use it whenever it's safe to do so. Also enables you to keep within speed limits

Oh Yes, lots. Especially abroad where the roads are much quieter. If I don't I end up going faster than I want to.

Use it often especially on roads with average speed cameras. Took me a while to get used to it as I felt I didn't have control of the vehicle but now comfortable with it

Yup, use it all the time, both in car and van. Especially in the car in 30mph limits, means I can look out of the windscreen rather than my speedo.
Wouldn't be without it, on long journeys in the van, cruise goes on at 65, feet off pedals for the next 100 miles:LOL:

Use it at every opportunity, love it but never set at anything above 58 mph and that is only on motorways.

I have it on the RV and the Honda, and use it all the time, at any speed. 30, 40, 50 60, whatever. Sooooo relaxing, and economical. Also it saves speedo watching all the time in restricted zones. The best gadget by far!

Use it in the car all the time and had it retro fitting to our van by Dave Newell and would not be without it, great on dual carriageways and a must on motorways, mine goes on at 60 then have a nice relaxing drive, and as others have said save points especially when the speed drops on motorways. They do.......

But it was/is a simple hand throttle...similar to the old style manual choke knob.....further you pull out the lever the faster you go.

A real technological breakthrough.........100 years ago.

Could not be without it.. Had it fitted to the first van we had, then I swapped it over to the new van, and the one we currently have has a factory fitted one.

Absolutely essential to my mind for the big runs at a steady 55mph

Also had them on all but the present car ( a Smartie Cab ) for the past 15 years or so ( Would have it in the present one too but at £450 cannot sadly warrant the expense )

Use it a lot. We also have a sped limiter on the car, fabulous peice of kit! Feel very smug in towns with limiter set to 30 mph and a police car behind you. ☺️
