Do you have a set of windblocker sunshades? (1 Viewer)

If you do, here is "Bryan's tip for the day!"

If you peg them down and the wind gets too strong it can rip the little elastic loops at the bottom clean off the windblockers...

Use bungee cords like me and you too can be the envy of your fellow campers as you sit under your wind-blocked awning for longer as they rush to take their sunshades down to prevent damage! :thumb:

(Seriously, they have more 'give' in the wind and so we can leave them up in stronger winds :winky:)

Only used ours once after buying them at Peterborough, can't remember if there are ties for attaching around the posts but we used smallish spring clamps top, middle and bottom and clipped them together and onto the uprights.

i bought a pack of assorted size plastic spring clamps from Aldi a while ago.

simply clamp the net front and side to the corner post of the awning :thumb:

was having a bad day when i bought them....thought they would do for holding metal workpiece in place while welding it .......

Doh!!! plastic, metal, welder, hot, melt.

A local pound shop,'Poundworld' has metre long bungees with a caribiner at each end.
I was using lengths of dowel through the bottom loops up to now.

Great idea.
I had problems with the metal support bar at the top, so I used a bungee cord in place of the bar.
Easier to use and flexible.

Yes more information on poles and curved rafters?

What are we talking about and where can you get them from ?
Have an Autotrail with built in "omnistore " type sunshade but no horizontal poles.

Its does have some small plastic cups on the inside of the extending fascia.

We have a omnister 5003 awning.
jI thought curved rafters might be instead of the expanding poles .

I use the side rafters from our old Fiamma sunblocker set up ( we bought it before we bought the safari room so the poles, about 2cm thick and expanding, work perfectly )
